This etching is a tribute to my mother, Cora Viramontes, who passed away in August of 1995. It has a lot of her favorite things in it. It has her two cats, Fatboy and Mini, one of her dolls from her doll collection, a black and white photo of my father when he was in the Army, her great tasting lemon meringue pie, a picture of the Saint Socorro who she was named after, 7 goldfish in the fish tank symbolizing her 7 surviving children, and a little girl angel symbolizing my sister, Gloria, who lived only one day after birth. This print is intended to be a celebration of my mother's life.
